Order of setting up
For the smoothest experience, firstly set up:
- your organisation
- your users
- funds you wish to record gifts under
- community buildings
- connected charities
Note that only ‘your organisation’ is vital for successful claiming.
New users only to be created if there is to be more than one.
When the account is created, ‘general fund’ appears by default. Create other funds as necessary to help group different types of gifts.
Community buildings is only necessary for charities operating from more than one building where there’s a wish to take advantage of the community buildings provisions under the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme.
The GASDS allowance can be affected if a charity is connected to another. Set this up only if necessary under connected charities.
Once the basic setups above are completed, the two main steps afterwards are to add donors and then create donation records against them.
Once this information is recorded in Fund Filer, you will be ready to make your first repayment claim from Fund Filer!
